We drove along the coast. We had been told about Murphy’s Hay stacks. It wasn’t far from Perlubie bay and if there wasn’t enough room for us at Perlubie Bay we did think about staying at the haystacks. The farmer has opened his paddock to the general public to see the haystacks he also offered a basic bush camp.
As we walked around the rocks there were lots of white moths flying around. Coming from the city like it was different, like walking in a land forgotten. The haystacks are more than rocks. In a field of nothing there are huge rocks coming together almost as a community, you could almost see them talking among themselves. With any community there are some who are the in crowd and some who have been banished to the outer area.
