We were going to stay in Esperance but Wiki camps mentions Gibson Soak. Gibson is about 40 k out of Esperance. There is a large area beside the local pub. The owner lets people bush camp. There was already a van in the lot and as we parked up they came to talk to us. They informed us that it was a toss up between the noise of the road and the noise of the trains. We stayed a night at Norseman. There is a bush camp on the local sports ground. There was another caravan there when we got there. We started talking to them and found out they had just arrived from the Nullarbor. Continue reading “Norseman”
We were on the road the next day but before we left Kalgoorlie we drove to Boulder. Boulder is like a suburb of Kalgoorlie. Once they were two different towns but over time they have grown together. Boulder had a Goatcher Curtain. Continue reading “Boulder”

We also stopped in at Ora Banda for a drink. Ora Banda is where there was a disagreement with some of the outlaw bikie gang the Gypsy Jokers and the owner of the hotel Don Hancock. It is a long story with guns and bombing and sniper-style killing. We had one drink to say we have been there done that and didn’t complain as we left.
