Adrian went for a swim at Ellery just to say he had done it. The water was cold as ice. (I wasn’t brave enough to even put a toe in.) What did put a smile on my face was at each gorge where there was water there was a life preserver. We spent 9 days traveling to the different gorges. Each one had it’s own beauty and feel to it. Some weren’t very easy to get to but when we arrived it always amazing. It was like earning a reward.

We decided it was a good time to leave as the drive back to Alice showed storm clouds gathering. We have put the West McDonald Ranges on our list to visit again. Love it even though as we were drove into the McDonald’s we were a bit concern with all the trashed or burn out cars along the road. (We counted 5.)
