Arno Bay

We stopped of at Arno Bay for lunch. It seemed to be a nice little fishing holiday spot. We had a quick look around, walking up the jetty before ordered a burger at the local shop. Great burger. The jetty was built in 1882, they extended it to reach 1230 feet (370 meters) in 1912 to cater for the bigger vessels bringing in the cargo for the settlers in the area but now it reaches only 695 feet (210 meters).

I like the idea that the sign warned people not to drive their motorbikes along the jetty. Was this a common thing to do? Or did a person just not stop at the end?
